Fifth Grade

Welcome to 5th Grade

Fifth grade is a year full of learning, excitement, and new opportunities. Students partake in many activities as fifth graders, including trying out for leading roles in the elementary play, forming a relationship with their kindergarten buddy, and getting to experience middle school life by switching for a few classes.

In fifth grade, students participate in monthly Literature Circles, earn rewards for reaching Book-It requirements, create PowerPoint presentations for various assignments, and earn prizes for earning the most money in our Stock Market Challenge. The Fifth graders are blessed to have their own iPad cart, which gives students the opportunity to research different topics and practice new skills in math, reading, and spelling. The fifth grade students are the upper classmen of the elementary, and it is my goal to prepare them for a smooth transition into middle school life.
