Clymer Town
What is Clymertown?
Clymertown is economics in action. The seniors become entrepreneurs who make a product to sell to the elementary students. The elementary students have earned Clymer Bucks for good behavior and conduct. When Clymertown rolls around, the elementary students are eager to spend their money on the senior’s goods. There are usually three of these special days throughout the year. After the conclusion of the final Clymertown, the seniors invest their profits in the stock market. Their stocks are tracked and gains and losses recorded. At the end of the allotted time period, the senior with the most profit wins the Economic Award. The award is a certificate and a U.S. Savings Bond.
